YEAST

This word typically has a bad connotation, but a small amount of yeast is actually beneficial.

It is when overgrowth takes place that problems start to occur. As much as you don’t want to hear this… excess sugar is usually the cause of yeast overgrowth. Did you know that a “sweet tooth” usually stems from the candida itself demanding us to feed it? That’ll change your perception of those cravings real quick, right?

Did you know that Candida overgrowth is the leading cause of mortality from infection? Wow!

It’s also been shown to convert mercury to a methylated form that is stored in fatty tissue and it’s very difficult to get rid of. It is known to have the highest toxicity to humans. WOW!

Yeast overgrowth is responsible for 91% of ulcerative colitis and is also associated with depression, lupus, asthma, rheumatoid arthritis, etc.

A simple Candida test we can perform:

Before we eat or drink in the am, spit into a clear glass of water. Check it every 15 minutes for an hour and if it spreads out, develops long tendrils hanging down, sinks to the bottom of the glass or creates specks in the middle of the water, you may just have a candida problem.

Another simple way to test is to look at your tongue. If it has a white coating — hello yeast!
